ISTAF Supporter Club

The International Stadium Festival (ISTAF) and ISTAF INDOOR are the world’s largest and most modern events in international athletics.

The ISTAF at the Berlin Olympic Stadium is the oldest athletics meeting in the world and since 1921 one of the most popular major sporting events in Germany. On average, more than 50,000 visitors make it the most popular track and field event in the world. The constantly improved concept of sporting excellence and show elements always finds imitators, but is never reached. The incredibly good atmosphere in the stadium also promotes the performances of top athletes. A total of 16 world records have been set in the history of ISTAF, the last in 2014 by hammer thrower Anita Wlodarczyk from Poland.

With the ISTAF INDOOR, ISTAF has gotten a modern offshoot under the roof of the Mercedes-Benz Arena. At its first edition in 2014 10,847 spectators flocked to the arena and experienced a firework display of athletics. Athletes, the media and the audience were enthusiastic about the new form of event presentation.
